Senior Traffic Control Coordinator

TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Traffic Control Coordinator to join our client’s team. Our client is an industry leader that has successfully performed a variety of large-scale major infrastructure projects across Canada.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
 

• Develop and adjust traffic staging plans with construction teams and subcontractors.
• Participate in traffic management and community meetings with clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure subcontractors accurately implement Traffic Control Plans.
• Notify stakeholders about lane closures, traffic diversions, and delays.
• Review and update the project schedule, attending coordination meetings.
• Facilitate the creation and approval of traffic control and transit management plans.
• Manage vehicular and pedestrian movement within construction zones, including cost tracking and monthly reports.
• Attend internal coordination meetings and provide updates.
• Oversee the development and approval of traffic signal designs, ensuring compliance.
• Administer design service contracts, prioritize tasks, coordinate progress meetings, track progress, manage accruals, approve invoices, and issue change orders.

Requirements
 

• at least 5 years of traffic coordination experience.
• A degree in Engineering is preferred.
• Experience with traffic management, including development of traffic plans and SYNCHRO.
• Has basic knowledge of project schedule and cost control. 
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to identify problems, generate solutions, and make sound decisions.
• Collaborative attitude with strong teamwork skills.
• Exceptional organization skills and high attention to detail.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and longer hours if required.
