Our client, an industry leader in the Commercial ICI sector is looking for a site superintendent! In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing quality control, supervising all trades and field personnel, ensuring construction safety practices, maintaining the job site office, and closing out projects.
Job Duties
- Oversee the planning, organization, direction, control, and evaluation of construction project activities from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with the approved project schedule, specifications, budget, and quality control.
- Develop and implement short-term construction schedules and milestones, and track progress against the overall project timelines established by the Project Manager.
- Act as the company’s representative on matters such as contractual requirements with subcontractors, in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Guide the workflow of employees and trades on site.
- Maintaining daily and weekly project documentation such as daily logs, photo records, safety reports, time sheets
- Purchasing of materials, services and acceptance of deliveries, and responsible for safe storage of material
- Overseeing the upkeep of project documentation on a daily and weekly basis, which includes daily logs, photographic records, safety assessments, and timesheets.
- Managing the procurement of materials and services, supervising the receipt of deliveries, and ensuring the safe storage of materials.”
Qualifications
- 8-12 years' experience is preferred on construction site
- Possession of a degree/diploma from a higher education institution or trade school, Journeyman Carpenter credentials, Interprovincial Red Seal & CCA Gold Seal certifications, or a comparable mix of experience and education.
- Professional engineering credentials or construction trade certification is an asset
- Certifications including Leadership for Safety Excellence, Prime Contractor, First Aid, WHMIS, CSTS, and Fall Protection training.
