Location: Near Hobby Airport Area
Type: 6-month contract
TRS Staffing Services is currently looking for a Technical Writer to join our client, a fleet equipment rental company with warehouse distribution. The Technical Writer will be responsible for developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to fleet management, equipment rental, and warehouse operations. The successful candidate will work closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather information, write, review, and edit SOPs, and ensure that they are accurate, clear, and concise.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, write, review, and edit SOPs for fleet management, equipment rental, and warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and other team members to gather information and ensure accuracy and completeness of SOPs.
- Ensure that SOPs are clear, concise, and easy to understand and follow.
- Organize and structure information into well-written and well-structured SOPs.
- Incorporate regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices into the SOPs.
- Manage the SOP development project to ensure that it is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the fleet management, equipment rental, or warehouse industry.
- Strong writing skills and ability to write clear, concise, and accurate SOPs.
- Technical knowledge of fleet management, equipment rental, and warehouse operations.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage complex information.
- Excellent organization, communication, and project management skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to fleet management, equipment rental, and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software/tools.
