Here is an exciting opportunity to join a mega project in beautiful Kitimat, British Columbia as a Tools and Equipment Manager! You would be at work within a growing EPCM/construction firm with projects worldwide and joining a team of talented professionals all working towards one goal. This opportunity boasts longevity, a great work-life balance rotation of 14/7, and excellent accommodations.
In this very exciting role, the qualified individual will oversee tools and rental equipment provided by the client for self-perform scopes of work. This candidate will also manage a program ensuring subcontractor equipment meets requirements to mobilize to the Project site and review all subcontractor maintenance plans and activities.
Job duties:
-Responsible for day-to day field supervision, preparation of work plans, supervision of subcontractors and daily reporting and permitting of onsite activities
-Supports the Heavy Haul and Equipment Manager as directed
-Accountable for all the clients rental equipment and assets required for construction/maintenance on the project site
-Manage the Light vehicle fleet and maintenance program
-Manage subcontractor equipment mobilization process
-Responsible for writing, reviewing and updating policy and procedures as needed during the life of the project
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience at a comparable level of responsibility
- 5+ years of proven site management experience in a managerial position
- Experience with permitting procedures on industrial construction sites
- Must have a proven track record of successful execution of construction/maintenance Projects to include: Refineries, Oil Sands, Mining or Power
- Experience dealing with multiple contractor and area interfaces
- Able to successfully manage multiple competing priorities
