TRS is currently working with a leading USA-based energy company with ownership and investments in various industries both domestically and internationally. We are currently seeking a Propane Trade Specialist with extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in the Canadian market, particularly in Alberta (AB) and British Columbia (BC).
TRADE SPECIALIST (PROPANE) - This role does not require relocation. Candidates must either be based in British Columbia or Alberta. This role is accountable for negotiating supply contracts and coordinating logistics for transportation via rail, truck, pipeline, and storage. Also responsible for negotiating contracts and determining product pricing, including transportation costs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in LPG/Propane trading or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of the Canadian energy market, particularly in AB and BC.
- Strong understanding of the LPG/Propane market, commodity management, and pricing structures within the west coast (BC or AB).
- Proven experience working with Canadian energy companies.
- Familiarity with various gas plants (propane producers) in the region.
- Understanding of transportation logistics for shipping overseas.
- Ability to analyze market trends and make informed trading decisions.
- Comfortable working independently with in-depth negotiation and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication abilities and reporting skills.
