Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Operational Analysis:
- Compile and analyze demographic, land use, traffic counts, and travel speed data.
- Conduct capacity analysis for intersections and roadways using industry-standard software.
- Write basic scripts in Excel or other programming languages for data analysis.

Modeling:
- Prepare and analyze relevant land use data for modeling.
- Conduct demand modeling tasks for traffic impact and corridor studies, including network updates, model assignment runs, and results extraction.
- Perform traffic simulation tasks for projects, including network building, coding model parameters, simulation runs, and results extraction.

Transportation Studies:
- Develop engineering calculations and maps.
- Identify and evaluate mitigation measures or project alternatives.
- Prepare technical reports presenting traffic analysis, modeling, and simulation work.

Design Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Highway Design and CAD teams on traffic-related design issues.

Other:
- Travel to client offices in the Middle East as required and collaborate with on-site teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in civil or Transportation Engineering from an accredited university.
- 8+ years of experience in traffic engineering and transportation modeling, including at least 3 international projects.
- 5+ years of experience with traffic software (PTV VISSIM, SYNCHRO, HCS, SIDRA).
- 5+ years of experience with demand modeling software (PTV VISUM and/or TRANSCAD).
- Proficiency in MicroStation and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience applying HCM procedures in traffic studies.
Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of traffic engineering and transportation planning principles.
- Experience conducting Traffic Impact Studies and Feasibility Studies.
- Moderate scripting and programming skills in R, Python, Basic, or other languages.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
