Job Summary:
- You will be required to coordinate and manage automation system on board the conventional and DP vessel, where experience and high level on automation knowledge is necessary and be the responsible of electronic correct operation/maintenance ensuring the respect of HSE company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor, with full autonomy, all automation system related to the pipe/flex lay equipment, pipe handling, lifting appliances and the rest of the system connected to the production side.
- Monitor and control supervising on-board electrical/electronic equipment according with safety procedures.
- Define maintenance work setting priorities and proposing maintenance schedule.
- Propose to the Chief Engineer and Chief Electrician the required quantity of material stock levels, in order to maintain work continuity.
- Supervise the carrying out of work activities in compliance to safety procedures and practices
- Ensure the efficiency of the electrical/electronic equipment.
- Coordinate the electrical team for ordinary and extraordinary maintenance.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Accredited Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Automation Engineering / Programming.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the contractual scope of activities.
- Deep knowledge of Rockwell and Siemens PLC, in programming and troubleshooting.
- Capability to follow and perform the commissioning on production machines for pipelay (vertical lay system equipment).
- Knowledge of Siemens control system and Tia portal.
- Familiar with IHC system.
- Valid offshore certificates and medical are needed.
