DURATION: CONTRACT (12 MONTHS)

"Our client specializing in EPCm & Infrastructure Projects is seeking a WATER QUALITY SPECIALIST who will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of water quality for our client’s projects-based in MIDRAND OR PIETERMARITZBURG."
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for assessing, monitoring, and managing water quality across various projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct water quality assessments and analyses for various projects.
- Develop and implement water quality monitoring programs.
- Interpret and report on water quality data, identifying trends and potential issues.
- Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and national water quality regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate water quality considerations into project planning and execution.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on water quality matters to clients and stakeholders.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation related to water quality assessments and monitoring.
- Conduct fieldwork, including water sampling and site inspections.
- Stay updated with the latest developments and best practices in water quality management.
QUALIFICATION & SKILLS REQUIREMENT:
- A relevant qualification in Environmental Science, Water Resource Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in water quality assessment and management.
- Registration with SACNASP (South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions) or currently in the process of becoming registered.
- Strong knowledge of water quality regulations and standards in South Africa.
- Proficiency in water quality monitoring techniques and equipment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and report-writing abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
