Job Title: Compensation and Benefits Manager
Location: Greer, SC
Industry: manufacturing, automotive
Status of Hire: full-time, direct hire
Pay: $100-130k salary
 
Objective:
Provide overall strategic guidance and direction related to compensation, benefitsl, and payroll management for the US (multiple plant locations). This position will ensure all practices, policies, processes, and systems are in alignment with regional, divisional, and group compliance requirements, while monitoring industry best practices for compensation and benefits to remain competitive in the job market.
 
Responsibilities:
Be the strategic HR leader to for all employees related to compensation, benefits and payroll in the U.S., and all other systems and compliance processes
Lead the development of a compensation strategy
Responsible for driving and implementing competitive compensation globally
Lead compensation analysis process
Lead the local wage analysis process at each site
Plan, develop, and implement standardized US benefit plans and programs
Lead all items around US Medical Benefits – manage relationship with Benefit consultants, develop annual design changes to medical plans, manage retiree benefits, etc.
Lead all savings plans for the US – 401(k)– partner with external providers
Lead and approve the payroll process for all US sites
Manage all external benchmarking surveys
Maintain, manage, and establish human resources Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies of all compensation and benefit programs.
 
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; Master’s degree preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in human resources with focus payroll management, compensation and benefits
Experience working in the automotive and/or manufacturing industry strongly preferred
Excellent communication skills: oral and written
Excellent presentation skills
Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Proficient in UKG/Kronos
Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and compensation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Thorough knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA requirements
Self- motivated
Strong attention to detail and organization
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
Ability to handle and manage multiple priorities and/or projects
Ability to record, monitor, and analyze metrics and budget information
Business acumen
Strong time management skills
Ability to exhibit safety mindset and leadership in all aspects of the position
 
**Must be authorized to work in the US regardless of visa transfer or sponsorship
**Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and background check to be eligible for hire
