Responsibilities:
  • Perform HVAC load calculations and applied psychometrics
  • Sizing and preparing ductwork and equipment layouts. As well as plumbing, fire water, chilled water and refrigerant piping design 
  • Capable of sizing building utilities (potable water, fire water, steam, plant air, instrument air, and sewage waste air requirements).
  • Selecting HVAC equipment such as air handling units, chillers, condensing units, cooling coils, heating coils, steam coils, pumps, electric heaters, fans, cooling towers, plumbing fixtures and firefighting equipment.
  • Follow and apply various codes, standards and handbooks including ASHRAE Fundamentals, ASHRAE systems and equipment, ASHRAE refrigeration,
  • ASHRAE application, ICC (IBC, IMC, IPC & IFC), SMACNA, and NFPA.
  • Engineering, designing and building mechanical systems for buildings 
  • Have experience working as a building mechanical system engineer involved with multimillion dollar building project team (engineers and designers) in different stages from front end engineering design, detailed design, bidding process, construction, commission and
  • acceptance of the building completion.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC and Mechanical Engineering
  • Must be well versed in HVAC load calculations
  • Candidate must have high proficiency in MS Office Suite 
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD. 
  • Minimum Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • P.E. or E.I.T. License is preferred.
