Description:
Job Purpose & Responsibilities:
Responsible for job functions associated with the EMT Technology Operations, including but not limited to:
• Interface closely with the Technology Team to execute programs in support of the Specialties SBU, by compiling and presenting reports from testing data
• Perform basic troubleshooting, maintenance and calibrations on instruments/equipment in the EMT labs
• Use systems such as Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and EDM to enter/edit requests
• Assist in the management and continuous improvement of quality processes and compliance to industry standards. This includes, but is not limited to: owning and updating SOP’s related to assigned tasks, coordinating SPC/Round Robin/Proficiency testing, and reviewing and understanding applicable ASTM/ISO standards
• Assist in the identification and implementation of projects to improve lab efficiency and/or install new equipment
• Work closely with vendors to develop scope and drive projects for new equipment installations
• Utilize Qualtrax to create and/or update SOP’s, with respects to workflows, safety and overall knowledge management
• Train and mentor less experienced team members
• Review, schedule and prioritize incoming EMT requests
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field or equivalent credits (60+) towards Bachelor’s degree
• Experience with the extrusion, molding and/or testing of polymers
Desired Skills:
• Proven ability to successfully prioritize work and deliver quality results within a defined timeline
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken word
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, including but not limited to: MS Office, Outlook and Sharepoint; LIMS and EDM databases, and SAP
• Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage multiple workflows, communicate critical information to key stakeholders, and work cross-functionally with multiple groups.
