Job Description:
A detail-oriented and organized Receiving and Shipping Lead to oversee our warehouse operations. This position will manage the receiving and shipping of products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a commitment to safety, and a background in logistics or warehouse management. They shall delegate work to all department associates and communicate to supervisor job/project status, obstacles, etc. They shall perform shipping and receiving duties, such as loading and unloading boxes/crates from trucks, unpacking/packing crates, assisting in final packing of completed devices, inspection and inventory of components received and accurate completion of all warehouse documents.
Qualifications:
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or relevant certification in logistics or supply chain management preferred.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with inventory management software is a plus.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team-building abilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods; must be able to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred).
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervision: Lead and train the receiving and shipping team, providing guidance on best practices and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Receiving Operations: Oversee the receiving process, including parts for inspection, documentation, and storage of incoming shipments.
• Shipping Operations: Coordinate and manage the shipping process, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of outgoing orders.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular audits and resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Quality Control: Ensure all received and shipped products meet quality standards and specifications.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy in the warehouse.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and practices, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
• Communication: Collaborate with other departments (e.g., sales, procurement) to ensure seamless operations and address any issues related to shipping and receiving.
• Reporting: Generate and maintain reports on receiving and shipping activities, inventory levels, and performance metrics.
