Our esteemed client is a renowned entity in the field of civil engineering, urban design, and land surveying. With a rich history spanning over five decades, they have been instrumental in shaping numerous communities across Canada.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Interpret topographic data and create detailed drawings for various Land Development and Municipal engineering projects using relevant software.
- Design roads, finalize grading, and handle storm water management for urban residential development initiatives.
- Participate in the comprehensive design process of Civil/Municipal engineering projects and develop related engineering drawings and designs.
- Manage site grading and design of sanitary sewer and water distribution systems for subdivision and land development projects.
- Conduct technical analysis of municipal infrastructure components, prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and compile as-built records for design and record drawings.
- Prepare Site Grading, Servicing, Erosion/Sediment Control Plans, Details, and Notes using AutoCAD, and Functional Servicing and Storm water Management Reports for Site Plan Application.
- Coordinate design with a team of consultants and prepare water/wastewater servicing and storm water management calculations for land development projects.
- Formally respond to approving agencies addressing development engineering comments and prepare contract documents for project tendering.
Skills & Requirements
- Possession of a Civil Engineering Degree from a recognized institution.
- Three years of experience in land development and/or municipal design.
- Strong dedication to work and a drive to excel.
- Eligible for the title of Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Applied Science Technologist (AScT).
- Exceptional skills in written and verbal communication.
- Experience gained through relevant internships.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.
- Proficiency in the design of Commercial structures, Subdivisions, and Site Plans.
