Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cost control systems to monitor project budget and expenditures.
- Prepare cost reports and forecasts for the mining construction project.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project budgets.
- Analyze project variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Evaluate supplier and contractor invoices against work performed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to cost management.
- Assist in the preparation of bids and tenders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in cost engineering in the mining or construction industry.
- Proficiency in cost management and project management software.
- Strong understanding of mining operations and construction processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
