Responsibilities
• Oversee the organization and maintenance of an electronic Document Control System (DCS)
• Track and monitor day-to-day document control activities to organize and align information with established policies, procedures, and project requirements, and to ensure that project information is accurate, controlled, transmitted, and archived for optimal tracking and retrieval.
• Receiving, tracking and monitoring drawings and documentation.
• Respond to internal and external information, drawings, and documentation requests.
• Generate transmittals as required and check the accuracy of transmittals.
• Generate and issue monthly progress status reports for both internal and external clients.
• Checking the quality of drawings and documents to be catalogued.
• Make decisions and recommendations within authorized limits. Exercise considerable judgment and initiative in interpreting policy in the planning and implementation of projects and/or work assignments.
Requirements
• At least 10 years of experience in lead document control role
• At least 5 years of experience working on large-scale projects with value of over $1B
• Must have prior project experience in the infrastructure sector
• LRT project experience would be a strong asset
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and AT LEAST TWO EDMS such as Procore, InEight, Aconex etc.
• Demonstrated experience in all areas of document/data management, including identification, creation, use, retrieval, access, retention, turnover, preferably in an engineering/construction environment.
