General Description:
Responsible for designing, developing, and deploying e-Learning content for dealers, customers, and internal employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates web-based e-Learning solutions using instructional methods that best suit the content and learning needs of the target audience.
-Creates engaging, effective e-learning content. This includes creating completely new content, converting existing PowerPoint content into e-Learning modules, using authoring tools/software; building quizzes and interactivity; audio recording; testing of courses prior to their release; uploading courses into the LMS; maintenance and refreshing of content in existing e-learning courses.
-Reviews Product Support training and other learning programs to assess their potential for on-line delivery and advises on which areas of the curriculum can be redesigned/enhanced using e-Learning.
-Interviews, collaborates, and coordinates with Technical Support Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and members of the training team to develop technically accurate e-Learning content.
-Remains current with and has a thorough knowledge of adult learning, e-Learning and multimedia instructional design best practices and emerging topics.
-Administers LMS including user/learner management and online courseware maintenance
-Assists Technical Support Training Manager develop strategies for e-Learning initiatives
Qualifications:
-Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
-Mechanical/electrical/hydraulic technical background is a must
-Three plus years of technical training courseware development
-Three plus years Instructional System Design experience
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Strong knowledge of adult learning theory
-Strong attention to detail
-Experienced with e-Learning authoring tools/software
-Experience with graphics, audio, and video recording/editing programs beneficial
-Experienced with Learning Management Systems (LMS) platforms
-Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work independently as well as in team environment
Education:
Preferred - Degree in instructional design / training related field
