HSE Officer

We are TRS Staffing Solutions, an international project sourcing agency and part of Fluor Corporation. We specialize in supporting the oil, gas, energy, chemical, industrial construction, and life sciences sectors.

For our external client we are currently recruiting HSE Officer to join the team. As an HSE Officer, you are responsible for ensuring safety, health, and environmental standards within the production hall. You oversee compliance with legislation and internal safety rules, conduct risk analyses, and investigate incidents. Additionally, you sensitize and guide employees to work safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that all employees comply with established procedures and legislation, and monitoring that everyone works in the correct manner.

• Providing a listening ear to employees and convincing them to work in the safest, most efficient, and correct way in every situation.

• Delivering safety introductions to new employees.

• Safeguarding our safety processes from a safety perspective during inspections and discussing all hazards and risks with employees/supervisors.

• Raising safety awareness.

• Sensitizing and informing colleagues about operational risk management and, where possible, proposing appropriate solutions.

• Investigating safety incidents to identify causes and action points, and reporting these to the HSE manager.

• Conducting and continuously evaluating risk analyses.

• Delivering practical toolbox talks.

Requirements:

• You hold a Prevention Advisor Level 2 certificate.

• You are passionate about safety and apply it in practice.

• You are solution-oriented, pragmatic, critical, work independently, and take initiative when necessary.

• You possess strong communication skills, persuasive abilities, and empathy.

• You have excellent command of Dutch and English. Knowledge of additional languages is an asset!

• You have a technical affinity or, at the very least, an interest in mastering the technical aspects of the business.
