Job Purpose:
Maintain injection molding machines, material handling systems, robotics and tooling in the facility through diagnosis, preventative maintenance. Secondary support for other application technology equipment would be part of responsibility.
Responsibilities
• Carry out all work safely, following all site safety and operating policies and procedures
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair machine and equipment failures
• Develop and execute preventative maintenance plans for molding machines, auxiliary equipment and molds
• Coordinate outsourced PM and repairs with local tool shops and machine manufacturers
• Plan and execute continuous improvement projects
• Plan and execute new equipment installations and/or existing equipment modifications
• Clearly communicate repair status, planned work and expected downtime
• Keep work areas clean and organized (5S)
• Assist in identifying and ordering spare parts
• Assist other departments when needed
Qualifications:
• Minimum 10 years injection molding maintenance and troubleshooting experience, including electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Previous experience with injection molding machinery (Engel preferred)
• Experience with mold setting preferred
• Must have a high level of mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications and schematics
