Here is an exciting opportunity to join an Engineering Consultancy in Calgary as a Lead Electrical Engineer! You would be working within a growing team with projects worldwide. The successful candidate for this role will be working within the energy and petrochemical sectors establishing a course of action within limits of company practices and guidelines for all related project activities.
Job Duties:
- Lead the electrical design team on various projects and mentor junior electrical engineers.
- Execute electrical conceptual, Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), and detailed design tasks.
- Take charge of technical issues and collaborate with other disciplines.
- Handle specification, procurement, technical assessment, and vendor drawing reviews of electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, UPS, electrical buildings, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power) or a related engineering field.
- At least 10-15 years of electrical engineering design experience in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, and related industries. Experience with US projects is a plus.
- Over 10 years of formal experience in heavy industrial or institutional electrical engineering design.
- More than 5 years as a lead project electrical engineer.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in Alberta
