FUNCTION: MOORING MASTER

"TRS has an urgent requirement for TWO (2) MOORING MASTERS with safe berthing of VLCC and Suezmax Tankers to weather veining FSO or FPSO experience to join project team based in EQUATORIAL GUINEA.”
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
As part of our wider logistics team Mooring master’s responsibilities include but not limited to;
For Tanker Liftings:
- Coordination between offshore operations, crude schedulers and controllers to maintain & publish export tanker lifting schedule.
- Terminal vetting of nominated vessels.
- Pre-arrival co-ordination of terminal support, support vessel logistics and arriving tankers.
- Correspondence and coordination for export with ships agents and cargo surveyors
- Pre-mooring inspections of hose and hawser assemblies.
- Performing oversight of vessel crews during hose and tug connection / disconnection.
- Performing tandem tanker berthing / unberthing operations onboard VLCC or Suezmax vessels.
- All terminal paperwork onboard the tanker including safety checklists and BOL package.
- Monitor export vessel cargo operations and static tow.
- Post export paperwork completion and distribution.
Between Liftings:
- Assist with offloading equipment inspections and maintenance.
- Periodic safety inspection of support vessel fleet
- Support onshore and offshore teams with marine SME advice.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Accredited Tertiary Qualification.
- Minimum 5 years’ Mooring Master safe berthing of VLCC and Suezmax Tankers for FPSO projects
- Valid STCW Class 1 Master Mariner with Crude oil cargo endorsement and valid ENG1 / offshore medical.
- Valid BOSIET (Non-Negotiable).
