JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform technical tasks assigned by the Piping and Layout Lead, related with design, verification or study activities.
- Interface with other Project Specialists, Designers and Draftsman.
- Co-ordinate technical activities performed inside or outside Saipem.
- Execute tasks within the designated area, ensuring compliance with QA/QC and HSE requirements.
- Provide technology and commercial support for development.
- Evaluate feasibility and support bidding phase/commercial proposal development.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree may be preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Piping and Layout Engineer in the oil and gas industry or related sectors. Experience with project execution and construction activities is advantageous.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of piping design principles, layout engineering, and relevant industry standards (e.g., ASME B31.3, API, ISO). Proficiency in using 3D modeling software and design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PDMS, PDS).
- Project Experience: Familiarity with project phases, from feasibility studies and bidding to construction and start-up. Experience in coordinating and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of QA/QC and HSE requirements and their application in piping and layout design.
