Job Title: Power Distribution Engineer
Location: Mooresboro, NC (bordering Chesnee, SC)
Status of Hire: full-time, direct hire, salaried with bonus
Pay: $120-150k plus up to 12% annual bonus
Industry: metals, industrial processing/manufacturing

Job Description:
As part of the Engineering department at a major integrated manufacturing facility, the Electrical Power Distribution Engineer is responsible for the optimization, troubleshooting, and design of a wide variety of electrical distribution equipment. This involves time in the field ensuring that the installed electrical equipment contributes to safe, environmentally sound, reliable, and profitable operations.

Responsibilities:
o          Maintain close contact with operations, maintenance, engineering, and project development to identify and implement electrical distribution equipment repairs and reliability improvements.
o          Design and specify electrical equipment such as breakers, switch gears, relays, generators, substations, buses, starters, transformers, and other industrial electrical distribution equipment (13.8kV to 230kV)
o          Coordinate projects for new or replacement equipment among engineering, maintenance, and operations.
o          Commissioning, startup assistance, and support of electrical distribution systems with maintenance personnel.
o          Serve as an electrical distribution technology expert liaison, between project engineers, plant maintenance, and operations personnel.

Skills and Qualifications
o          Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
o          Demonstrated experience in the industries of Power Distribution/Continuous Processes/Oil-Gas fields/Process Batching systems as an Electrical Engineer
o          Experience with Pump Motor Applications (25HP and above) and Generators
o          Good Knowledge or experience working with Synchronous/Vector Pump Transfer applications/processes
o          Ability to work with a wide variety of personnel at different levels of engineering, design, maintenance, and management
o          Ability to work with internal departments as well as suppliers to repair, service and maintain the facilities distribution electrical equipment
o          Good interpersonal skills
o          Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in both written and verbal form for the purpose of instructing others in technical matters and obtaining cooperation from various personnel
o          Problem solving / troubleshooting of distributed electrical systems
o          Knowledge of Electrical Safety standards and Area Electrical Classification standards (NFPA, NEC, and NETA)
o          Knowledge of SKM Modeling, System Studies, and Coordination
o          Willing to work unplanned/unscheduled hours in support of electrical distribution equipment commissioning and/or repairs
o          Work experience in mineral/ore reclaiming and manufacturing production with an awareness of hazardous surroundings from a safety and environmental point of view

**Must be authorized to work in the US regardless of visa transfer or sponsorship
**Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and background check to be eligible for hire
