The PDC Lead will oversee the daily operations of PDC as directed by the Supervisor and Management.
- Perform proper LOTO procedures, and know emergency procedures, equipment operations and locations
- Ensures the production and quality of PDC castings.
- Ensures that all equipment in the PDC area operates correctly and safely.
- Execute established and adjusted work procedures to meet production schedules
- Serve as a back up to the PDC Production Supervisor
- Assist with various maintenance activities such as:
- Die Sets
- Machine Repairs
- Robot/ Cell resets
- PMs
- Die cleaning
- Perform required quality audits and checks
- Assists in training for all PDC personnel
- Communicates with other operators to discuss any problems occurring with castings or machines
- Provides cleaning on and around PDC machine on a daily basis.
- Covers for breaks and lunch.
- Understand and manage multiple products
- Inform Supervisor of any items that might affect operations
- Work in warm environment
- Work with minimum supervision
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned
- Safely drive and execute forklift knowledge and situational awareness.
Minimum Qualifications
- Good mechanical skills.
- Certified fork truck operator and/or able to learn.
- Ability to use various hand tools.
- Work in manufacturing plant conditions, including exposure to dirt, fumes, noise and cleaning chemicals.
- Walking regularly.
- Ability to lift and move 40-80 pounds.
- Regular kneeling, squatting or working in otherwise uncomfortable work positions.
- Standing and bending for extended periods of time
