We are contacting following a previous experience with TRS Staffing solutions for temporary specialized work force allocation.
The Procurement Specialist will join the Upstream Procurement & Contracting team focusing on activities supporting an Upstream Drilling project in Africa, looking for cost-effective negotiations and fostering long-term relationships with vendors and contractors.
The successful applicant will be highly capable and adaptable, able to develop sourcing strategies for different categories of spend and deliver value and improved operational performance, with a focus on safety and risk management.
This opportunity will enable you to challenge yourself personally and professionally as an integral part of the Global Procurement & Contracts Team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyze data and prepare procurement strategies
• Ensuring that responsible sourcing is prioritized in the sourcing strategies
• Negotiate contracts to achieve the best value
• Forecasting price trends and their impact on future activities
• Develop effective risk management strategies for key suppliers and key contracts
• Undertaking value-for-money reviews of existing contracts and arrangements
• Alignment with business objectives
• Executing value-creation projects
• Maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders and their networks
• Keeping up to date with trends, innovations and regulations that can impact business
REQUIREMENTS
• Previous working experience in sourcing Well Services, namely in Offshore Logistics, Drilling Services and other offshore drilling related contracts
• Academic Background in Engineering, Economics or Business Management
• Complementary training in Negotiation valued
• Strong analytical skills, results-orientated with problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in English
• Excellent networking and negotiation skills
• Previous experience in similar projects – West Africa located preferred
• Good computer skills from the user's perspective
• Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Attention to details, organized, team player with the ability to ensure all practices are aligned with internal requirements
The successful candidate must have previous Procurement experience working within the Upstream Oil&Gas industry on drilling and offshore logistic contracts and projects.
