The Project Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of hotel development, maintenance, and refurbishment projects. This role involves managing a diverse range of stakeholders, including third-party Project Management/Construction Management (PMCM) firms, contractors, and hotel operators. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in fit-out and hotel developments, with a strong focus on cost control, planning, and time management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans that define scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budgets, and timelines.
  • Lead project teams to ensure projects are executed and delivered on schedule, within scope, and budget.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including PMCMs, contractors, and hotel operators.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination among all parties involved.
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.

Cost Management and Budget Oversight:

  • Oversee project budgets.
  • Implement cost control measures to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
  • Regularly report on financial performance and provide forecasts.

Schedule and Time Management:

  • Oversee detailed project schedules.
  • Monitor project progress against milestones and deadlines.
  • Implement corrective actions to address delays and ensure timely project completion.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all projects comply with the company’s quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and records.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, issues, and performance.

Qualifications:

Education: Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. PMP certification, or equivalent, is a plus. 

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on fit-out and hotel developments. 

Skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Proven experience in managing third-party PMCMs, contractors, and hotel operators.
  • Excellent cost control and budgeting skills.
  • Proficiency in project planning and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong sense of project ownership.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
