Our client based in Greater London is looking for a Projects Manager. As the Project manager you will take a planned project through the pre-FEED, Define and Execute project phases.
The Project Manager will effectively deliver the project on time and on budget in line with industry and company standards with excellent safety performance and zero harmful impact on the environment.

Key responsibilities


Be a leader and advocate for company safety principles and behaviors.
Work closely with the SHEQ Manager to establish project specific safety and QA/QC plans with rigorous application of company and industry standards throughout each of the project phases.
Ensure safety management systems are in place and functioning to ensure safe execution of Project and Engineering deliverables, including subsequent operation of the asset.
Manage timely progression through pre-FEED, Define and Execute phase leading sub-surface, drilling, SHEQ, procurement and operations team members.
Manage the follow-on engineering phase contractor scope in the Select Phase in preparation for Define phase.
Prepare the project for FEED ensuring the correct level of engineering definition is in place.
Develop the project execution plan and contracting strategy with support from the contracts and procurement team and others.
Ensure project systems and change management processes are in place to promote safe and efficient project delivery with timely commissioning and handover to the operations teams, including all necessary documentation from the project.
Help to establish the project team for the Define and Execute phases.
Lead the project delivery of a platform or subsea development and host tie-in scopes and contracts through to completion.
Ensure all appropriate project controls, planning and progress reporting, are in place, compliant with established company guidance and accepted industry practices.
Provide updates to the wider organization, senior management, partners and regulatory stakeholders as necessary.
Ensure that regular effective project meetings are held with key stakeholders, contractors and in-house project teams.
Actively Manage project risk and opportunity.
Communicate expectations and accountabilities clearly within the project team.

Demonstrable team leadership qualities.
Demonstrable technical leadership expertise across the range of the project scope.
Established project and engineering technical capability, with an ability to lead a team of diverse, professional individuals through project define and execution phases.
Proven track record in similar project delivery environment.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Goal orientated mindset with the ability to solve problems and deliver pragmatic solutions.
Inclusive and communicative, taking an active lead to shape outcomes.
Very strong written and presentation communication skills.
Relevant experience of platform, pipelines, wells delivery in the UKCS.
Experience of the UKCS regulatory regime.

Desired experience
Significant upstream offshore development experience.
Experience of stage gate processes and project management in Select, Define and Execute phases.
Track record of project management of capital projects >250m$
Experience in a similar management role.
Knowledge and experience of leading larger teams.
Operator experience.
Greenfield and brownfield experience.

Education
Degree level engineering qualification, and
Chartered discipline engineer or Chartered Project Professional (ChPP)
