For our offshore oil&gas client in the Amsterdam area, we are looking to recruit a QC Inspector (office and site). After a period of secondment it is the intention to transfer the position to staff.

As a QC Inspector, you play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of materials, components and equipment used in the projects. Your responsibility includes reviewing vendor quality documentation and conducting quality inspections. You collaborate closely with project teams, suppliers, and the Inspection Coordinator.

- Participate in Kick Off and Pre-Inspection meetings.
- Conduct quality inspections in accordance with approved Inspection Test Plans.
- Document inspection findings, recording test results, and maintaining inspection records.
- Review the progress status at suppliers during stage inspections.
- Collaborate with the project teams to address quality issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Issue inspection waivers in conjunction with and approved by the responsible Project Engineer.
- Liaise with assigned certifying authority surveyors and issue and close-out non-conformance reports and punch lists where applicable.
- Authorize the release of equipment by issuing a Release Note, if applicable in conjunction with the certifying authority surveyor.
- Provide feedback to the Engineering department on fabrication related matters of typical company products.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance processes and procedures.

Requested:
- You have a Bachelor or Technical College degree.
- Over 5 years of inspection experience preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- Good communication skills.
- Good in English language both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel to vendors (mostly within Europe) on a regular basis.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and technical documents.
- Knowledge of NDT inspection techniques is preferred.
- You hold a driving licence.
- You are already living and working in The Netherlands (Amsterdam area).
