Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Sales, Project Managers, and Field Service Manager to schedule manpower and equipment effectively.
- Provide leadership, motivation, and supervision to Field Service personnel, ensuring productivity and safety. Act as the first line of reporting for Field Service Representatives.
- Ensure proper use of equipment and assets, review and approve test sheets, and participate in the 24hr emergency response rotation.
- Complete time sheets, expenses, and vehicle logs in accordance with company policy. Requisition job materials as needed.
- Ensure continuity between Field Service staff, Field Service Manager, and Project Managers. Contribute to technical employee reviews.
- Supervise and coordinate larger maintenance or commissioning projects, maintaining current schedules and meeting client requests.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Over 5 years in a Power Systems Electrician or Electrical Engineering Technologist role, with prior experience as a Field Service Representative/Tech.
- Holds a Journeyman Electrician, Power Systems Electrician, Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma, or Electrical Engineering Degree from an accredited Canadian institution.
- Demonstrates strong leadership, organizational, and time management capabilities.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills, with professional qualities in attitude, appearance, and self-management.
- Exhibits a company-focused attitude and performance.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a team player.
- Availability for frequent short-duration travel, often with minimal notice, and adaptability for 24/7 emergency on-call rotation and weekend work.
- Experience working in variable weather conditions and ability to meet customer site pre-access requirements.
- Comprehensive on-the-job safety training, including First Aid, WHIMIS, H2S Alive, CSTS, Fall Arrest, Confined Space, Basic Electrical Safety, and Arc Flash Awareness.
