Role description:
We are looking for a Senior/Lead Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in mining, industrial and mineral processing projects. Our Client is currently executing several key projects and is seeking an experienced senior/lead engineers to join the electrical team.
Role Responsibilities:
- Providing Electrical discipline engineering design support, and package management for the HV switchyard package.
- Review and checking of Deliverables produced by the ESPs to ensure the technical integrity of project drawings and documentation such as scope of work, datasheets, and other project baseline documents
- Review estimates, schedules, progress reports, labour forecasts etc
- Ensure that ESPs interpret and apply client, national and international standards to design documentation
- Provide input into design and risk reviews
- Obtaining required input form Site Operations and Maintenance teams and provide responses to Technical Queries from the ESPs
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- A completed Tertiary engineering degree that is recognized by Engineers Australia.
- Relevant industry experience with eligibility of MIEAust membership
- EEHA qualifications and design experience is essential.
- In-depth understanding of Functional Safety practices and solutions
- Communicate effectively with management, team members, clients, vendors and other stakeholders to build strong relationships.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems with attention to detail.
- Understand project life-cycle requirements to provide robust guidance and solutions.
- Experience in software design tools such as Smart Plant, Digsilent PowerFactory, ETAP, SKM Power Tools, CDEGS etc is desirable.
