TRS Craft Services is seeking an experienced Service Technician for client in DeSoto, TX.
Basic Purpose:
This position involves tear down and restock of returned goods. Perform repairs, conversions or modifications to units as required. Prepare units for analysis.
Actual Tasks:
- Expedite RGA’s as requested by customers or associates.
- Understand client's materials such as parts list, manufacturing specifications, GFI’s.
- Support assembly by providing rapid response to problems.
- Must be able to work safely with high voltage electricity.
- Prepare units for analysis for engineering.
- Perform repairs, conversions or modifications to units as required.
- Disassemble, clean, and restock parts.
- Determine causes of gearing, bearing, and shaft failure.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of assembly procedures.
- Visually inspect all work and rework as necessary.
- May occasionally be required to travel to perform service/repair work at customer’s location.
- Must comply with all current ISO Quality and Work Instructions for job, all Company Safety rules, and all other Company rules, policies, and procedures.
- Read and understand supporting documentation for the work area.
- Monitor the work area for cleanliness.
- Rotate to various jobs within Assembly Shop.
- May require occasional travel to other client facilities or customer sites.
Shift:
1st shift: M – F (5am – 1:30pm) w/ daily OT & weekend OT
