Key Details:
•Responsible for developing company-wide framework and standards around Technical/Design services throughout the project lifecycle to influence major Design Build Infrastructure projects.
•Accountable for ensuring designs are compliant, safe, meet the delivery/constructability needs of construction, and are most cost efficient from a total project cost perspective.
•Responsible to the project Design Management team and assist to ensure all technical requirements are met and delivered in a timely manner ensuring we are compliant, efficient and cost-effective design that meets the requirements of the project specifications.
•Oversees the design/commissioning activities to ensure attestation that construction is in accordance with design.
collaborates with the construction and management team on the selection of sub-contractors and the procurement of material, sub-contracting services and consultation services.
•You are a Professional Engineer (P.Eng).
•15+ years of experience on major transit/transportation projects.
•8+ years of direct leadership role in transit and transportation projects
•Experienced in leading and managing a multi-discipline, multi-functional engineering and design team, inclusive of Civil, Systems and Rollingstock integration.
•8+ years of experience working on major design build projects and overseeing design consultants and technical engineering issues.
•8+ years of experience in Transportation Infrastructure sectors including civil works, bridges, and transit systems.
•Experience on mega projects of multibillion dollar value.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to establish a high degree of credibility with internal stakeholders.
•Our client works a lot in the area of P3 and JV projects so experience with these is very beneficial.
