Virtual Design Quality Assurance Rep (Semiconductors)

Construction services company is seeking a Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) for a long-term contract role with good expectation to go perm, to be based in Manassas, VA. Semiconductor experience very preferred for this role.

Roles and Responsibilities

The primary focus of this position is related to 3D BIM functions, coordination and organization. This role will require a strong knowledge in Autodesk or related 3D modeling platforms such as but not limited to Navisworks, AutoCAD and Revit. The role includes coordination to ensure the project contractor models are completed per 2D design intent, Local building Code, constructability, building specific routing requirements and attribute standards.

• The VDQAR will report directly to the Third Party QA-QC Manager
• The VDQAR will be required to perform model coordination and planning with the project team stakeholders.
• The expectation is that this role manages scope execution by the use of workflows and process supporting the project goals and milestones.
• Responsible for the facilitation of the BIM related activities, effort and/or meetings
Position Requirements

Education/ Experience

• Must possess 5+ years' experience in Semiconductor construction
• 1+ years site specific experience
• Process Pipe - VT level 2
• Electrical – Licensed journeyman
• In-depth working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD (or equivalent software), and a skilled user of digital technology tools
Skills
• Ability to understand design creation and functionality of AutoCAD based software platforms.
• Understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts and strategies.
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft operating system in an office environment.
• Experience with 3D MEP building design concepts.
• Must have strong verbal, written and presentation skills to convey technical information to a variety of personnel
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and capability to facilitate a teamwork environment.
• Must have an ability to interface with a multi-user customer base and manage workload of multiple projects of varying complexity.
• Functional understanding of the Navisworks platform is a plus.
• Understanding of database software including Microsoft Access and SQL is a plus.
• Facilities design, construction and semiconductor manufacturing tool installation design experience is a plus
