Job Title: Engineering and CAPEX Superintendent
Job Purpose
Lead the asset support engineering team to achieve plant reliability, availability, and Capex goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: Provide guidance, coaching, and resources to the engineering team.
- Safety: Ensure compliance with HSSE standards and promote a safety culture.
- Reliability: Support the development and execution of reliability strategies.
- Cost Management: Oversee Capex projects under $1 million and manage the Capex budget.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support across various engineering disciplines.

Accountabilities
- SHE Compliance: Ensure adherence to HSSE standards and promote safety initiatives.
- Team Development: Align roles, provide training, and ensure performance management.
- Reliability Support: Assist in developing and implementing reliability strategies.
- Capex Oversight: Manage small capital projects and ensure budget compliance.
Dimensions
- Overall CAPEX Budget: $5,000,000
- TAR Capex Spend and Execution: $3,000,000
- Staff Supervision: 8 direct reports
Main Contacts
- Asset Support Manager: 2-3 times per week
- Manufacturing Managers: Weekly
- SHE Manager: Weekly
- Asset Support Superintendents: 2-3 times per week
- Maintenance Supervisors: Weekly
- Procurement: Monthly
Required Profile
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Experience: 15-20 years in Engineering & Project Management in the Chemical & Refining Industry
- Skills: Leadership, communication, coaching, and mentoring
