Piping Engineering Technician
Major engineering company is seeking a Piping Engineering Technician for an open-ended contract role to be based in Houston, TX.

Role is an opportunity to work for sizable engineering company on significant projects. The right candidate will have previous EPC experience, intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Access or Excel, strong organizational skills, knowledge of piping engineering discipline (piping fabrication or construction) and previous piping spool coordinating experience. Salary depending on experience $28-$33.50/hr.

Job Description
• Perform engineering assignments to including but not limited to space planning, mobilizations, action items, producing data sheets, and drafting engineering specifications and standards
• Track status on engineering progress
• Generate and process forms for the distribution of electronic engineering documents
• Establish and apply documentation standards for Flow Diagram Change Notices (FDCN) workflow procedures
• Develop logs to track project deviations
• Assist with progress reporting via EZTrac and preparation of weekly and monthly status reports

Basic Job Requirements
• Hold or be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
