Qualifications
- The work requires advanced knowledge gained from a prolonged course of specialized instruction, experience, and expertise
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and no required years* of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to four (4) years* if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
- Proficient in Data Science, Data Analytics, and Business Intelligence
- Experience with data integration, warehousing, and modeling
- Familiar with DAX queries
- Proficient in SQL, SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS
- 2-3 years of experience with Power BI tools, SQL querying, and analytical processing
- Generally favorable indoor office workspace, and/or
- Various levels of environmental conditions including but not limited to project worksites and vendor/client facilities which may have temporary office space, moving mechanical parts and vibration; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and extreme temperatures and high noise levels
Responsibilities
- This position conducts work directly related to management or general business operations in an organization or functional area
- The Project Information Specialist I acts as the Project Specialist of automation technology for the project, managing the information technology, automation, and information/data management requirements for the project team
- This position may be considered entry-level, working in conjunction with a lead Project Information Manager (PIM)
- Understand the Client asset data requirements and related deliverables in conjunction with existing data management processes to define/develop reports, dashboards, processes, and work instructions as necessary
- Develop and follow management of change processes, agreed by Program Director / Program PC Director to ultimate revision/addition of Client facing reports/dashboards
- Engage with Project leads on a regular basis to ensure their understanding of the data requirements for their area/disciplines and ensure that source systems deliverables are scheduled in accordance with the project delivery time
- Coordinate and data scraping (mining) activities, ensure sources of data are clearly defined and ensure correct work processes are followed and the quality is achieved
- Provide regular updates to IM Lead and Project on the progress of data activities
- Work with Client's IM / Data Management team to resolve any queries with respect to data delivery format and content relating to the Asset Data Requirement
- Work with the project disciplines, in conjunction with the Project Systems and Data lead, to clarify their specific data requirements and ensure any validation inconsistencies are understood and corrected to comply with the Asset Data Requirement
- Develop, prepare, and issue data reports in EPIC (status, progress and forecast of data delivery)
- Prepare Data Management related presentations
- Manage the data transfer to Client in accordance with agreed timeframes and methodology
- To support the development and delivery of regular progress reports for data handover status against the schedule
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Data Management team workflows
- Support the development and implementation of data maturity management with support from the engineering leads/managers
- Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff
- Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
- Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
- Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
- May need to travel to attend to business related matters
- Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
- Other duties as assigned
