Responsibilities:
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the division’s human resources and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Responsible for ensuring performance evaluations are completed timely and ability to give constructive feedback when needed
- In conjunction with Corporate Recruiter, recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Responsible for on boarding all new hires to ensure a smooth transition
- Conduct exit interviews and give feedback to leadership
- Conduct Open Enrollment for the division including meetings, assisting employees with questions etc.
- Collaborates with VP HR regarding competitive salaries and to ensure that the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, investigations and terminations. Includes coaching supervisors/managers the process of handling progressive discipline. Consults with VP of HR on outcomes and next steps
- Organize company events to foster employee engagement and morale
- Training – responsible for grants and other training programs – Ensure all trainings are set up and attended.
- Responsible for updating HR system (Paylocity) as required
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Performs other projects and responsibilities as assigned by VP of EH or VP of HR
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Works well as a team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task while able to prioritize
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years of human resource experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of payroll/HRIS systems, Paylocity, ADP or similar systems.
