For our client's renewable project (site in Sweden) we are currently searching for an experienced Area Planner who will work from the home office in the Amsterdam area, the Netherlands.
Our client is a global leader in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, specializing in large-scale projects across various industries. As part of their team, you’ll contribute to cutting-edge renewable energy projects in Sweden.
Responsibilities:
As an Area Planner, you’ll play a crucial role in project planning, scheduling, and coordination. Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

Schedule Development:
- Create and maintain resource-loaded schedules for various project phases (engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning).
- Develop schedules at different levels (1-4) with milestones.
- Monitor critical path activities and resolve scheduling conflicts.

Progress Monitoring and Reporting:
- Evaluate and report schedule deviations.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project reports.
- Interface with client representatives as needed.
- Implement Earned Value Method (EVM) for progress measurement.

Change Management:
- Ensure adherence to change management processes.
- Quantify the impact of changes on schedule and cost.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop mitigation plans.

Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate proactively with project team members, stakeholders, and project leadership.
- Hold the project team accountable for progress commitments.

Proposal Support:
- Provide project planning input for proposals and bids.

Relationship Building:
- Foster effective working relationships with team members and other project personnel.
- Liaise with Project Managers and clients to clarify planning requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Planner/Scheduler in large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in project planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
