Our client is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer.
Job Duties
- Assist in the development and review of project baseline documents to meet project requirements and goals
- Develop, review and monitor/maintain estimates, schedules, progress reports, including workforce forecasts
- Develop and review specifications, including design criteria based on applicable local codes, client, and underwriter requirements
- Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve moderately complex engineering problems
- Review vendor equipment documentation within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution
- Provide technical support in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting
- Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
- Experience in an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company.
- Knowledge in design, installation, and selection of active and passive fire protection, fire alarm, and mass notification systems.
- Continue education and knowledge of industry-wide fire protection related information and technologies as well as new regulations and trends through continuing education, conferences, and/or periodicals, and continue to develop in-depth specialization
- Supervise and train subordinates assigned to her/his area
- Relevant degree
- Relevant experience
