"Our client seeking an ASSISTANT FINANCIAL MANAGER (mornings-only role) to join our client’s Financial Department based in JOHANNESBURG."
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Prepare monthly and annual financial accounts for audit purposes.
- Conduct account reconciliations and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Manage the depreciation process for fixed assets.
- Handle instalment sale agreements related to financial transactions.
- Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns.
- Drafting Annual Financial Statements on CaseWare:
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure smooth operations and development.
- Plan, prepare, and complete the annual Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) certificate.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum: BCom in Accounting.
- Minimum + – 5 Years in a similar role.
- Proficient in analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and making informed decisions based on data insights.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliations.
- Ability to prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly and annual accounts, VAT returns, and other financial statements.
- Familiarity with relevant financial software and tools, including SAP Business One, Enterprise (preferable), CaseWare, Microsoft Excel, Word, Power BI, and SAGE 300.
