Location: Greensboro, NC

Status of Hire: direct placement; permanent
Pay: $90k-$100k+ (higher rates available for more experienced candidates)
Summary:
The Assistant Electrical Project Manager will assist the Project Manager in overseeing the electrical components and CAPEX projects/installations for a large-scale $2 billion greenfield industrial construction project. The scope of this project will include electrical work for the main manufacturing buildings, supporting office buildings, and other on-site facilities. As the project will be supporting new automotive manufacturing facility construction, previous experience in industrial construction, particularly for the automotive sector, is highly valued.
Job Duties:
• Manage and oversee all stages of the project life cycle. Ensure timelines are kept and deadlines are met.
• Track and closely monitor project budgets throughout the project life cycle.
• Assist Project Manager in ensuring that all work is completed to project specifications and meets quality and safety standards.
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
• Complete or review RFI’s, change orders, and any other related or necessary documentation.
• Communicate progress to Project Manager and client.
• Aid and assist in securing specific project information or materials, or any other task necessary to keep established production and field schedules intact.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• At least 3-5+ years’ experience in electrical projects in a construction setting
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required
• Previous experience with commercial or industrial construction is required
• Experience in working on electrical projects totaling $10MM or more in scope is strongly preferred
• Previous experience with automotive industry construction or CAPEX projects is strongly preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of Kanban and Kaizen principles and methodologies are preferred, but not required
