Design and Engineering:
- Develop detailed engineering designs and specifications for control and instrumentation systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize design solutions.
- Perform calculations, simulations, and modelling to validate design parameters.
Procurement and Construction Support:
- Provide technical guidance during the procurement phase, including bid evaluation and vendor selection.
- Review and approve vendor documentation, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper installation and commissioning of control and instrumentation systems.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to verify compliance with design specifications.
Project Management:
- Assist in the development of project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project execution.
- Provide regular project updates to management and other project stakeholders.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Control and Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
- Extensive senior relevant experience in control and instrumentation engineering within the energy or oil and gas industry.
- Previous experience with gas turbines, control systems, and electrical distribution is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of control and instrumentation engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in design software and simulation tools relevant to control systems.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, ISA, API).
- Experience with PLC, DCS, SCADA, and other control systems.
- Solid understanding of electrical distribution systems and associated equipment.
Project Management Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in project evaluation, scope definition, and execution.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet project deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Cultural Awareness and Adaptability:
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in diverse cultural and international environments.
- Knowledge of local regulations and practices in Libya is advantageous.
