The SuccessFactors Project Training Lead will be a critical component of Fluor’s SuccessFactors expansion project, reporting to the Director of HR Systems.
This is a project support position for the duration of the SuccessFactors implementation project and a period thereafter for post-go-live support. This position is eligible for in-office, hybrid, or remote working options. For in-office and hybrid working, Fluor offices are located in Dallas, TX and Houston, TX.
Fluor Human Resources is in the process of implementing SuccessFactors as our Core HR Technology to include Employee Central, Recruitment, Onboarding, and Service Center tools, and including a Knowledge Base and reporting and analytics.
The SuccessFactors Project Training Lead will play a key role in ensuring our SuccessFactors Implementation Project meets objectives on time and on budget by developing and overseeing a comprehensive training plan. The successful individual will have a project management mindset and will focus on training organizational team members on new or modified business processes, systems, and technology to ensure smooth system adoption and usage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Plan Development: Design and oversee the execution of a detailed training plan and timeline tailored to the system implementation project, with input from the project lead, organizational change management lead, business process owners, and system administrators.
- Content Coordination: Work closely with business process owners and system module administrators to gather, develop, and refine training content. Consult and coach project team members regarding training materials or approaches.
- Presentation Development: Create engaging and informative PowerPoint presentations to support training sessions.
- Content Standardization: Ensure all training materials are standardized, polished, and ready for end-user consumption.
- Train the Trainer Coordination: Organize and manage "train the trainer" events, collaborating with business process owners and system module administrators to produce and present content to local HR, Management, and other organizational resources to ensure effective training delivery.
- Task tracking: Maintain a clear list of training tasks, due dates, and assignees, and regularly provide status information to project leadership.
- Additional Skills (Preferred): Experience with recorded system demonstrations and the development of WalkMe or EnableNow scripts.
Basic Job Requirements :
- Accredited four (4) year degree in Technology, Education, Industrial Relations, Human Resource (HR), or global equivalent in applicable field of study and sixteen (16) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twenty (20) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Technical knowledge necessary to perform the job responsibilities
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
- Proven experience training leadership roles, particularly for SuccessFactors implementation projects or similar projects.
- Strong expertise in developing and delivering PowerPoint presentations.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including business process owners, system administrators and HR teams.
- Ability to be flexible and agile in the development of the training plan and approach, so as to align the approach to Fluor’s business environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of HR Systems such as SuccessFactors, Workday or Oracle.
- Willingness to learn and desire to understand the company’s organizational structure, corporate culture, and business objectives
- Proficient computer and software skills to include the use of word, email, spreadsheets, and creating presentations and training materials
- Experience with recorded system demonstrations and/or development of WalkMe or SAP Enable Now scripts.
- Advanced degree (Master in Business Administration, Organization Development, etc.) or global equivalent preferred
- Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) certification, or applicable HR accreditation
- Demonstrated high level of interpretive thinking, mature judgment, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to provide high quality independent analysis, conclusions, and recommendations
- High level organizational, leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Experience in development/implementation of procedures and methods
- Experience with functional strategic objective responsibilities
- Experience working with offices globally
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of cultures and cross-cultural collaboration
- Strategic business sense and organizational savvy
- Ability to build trusting relationships, gain credibility, and partner with leaders and peers
- Demonstrated ability to be discreet with confidential company and employee information
