Job Title: General Manager - Finance and Accounts (GMF&A)
Reports To: Managing Director
Job Description:
The General Manager - Finance and Accounts (GMF&A) is responsible for overseeing all financial and fiscal management aspects of Bounce Fitness’s operations. This role involves providing leadership and coordination in administrative, business planning, accounting, and budgeting efforts.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Supervise the vendor payment process, including invoice receipt, verification, feeding, filing, follow-up, and tallying at the central level.
- Establish and implement internal control systems for maintaining accounts and records as required by various statutes and regulations, especially the Companies Act and other Secretarial procedures.
- Implement internal controls and checks for the payment mechanism.
- Verify compliance with financial statutory norms, internal processes, procedures, and controls of the Government of India.
- Report risk issues to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
- Control procurement, expenditures, and cost-cutting measures.
- Check for duplication of bills, payables, and receivables.
- Possess legal knowledge of contracts, TDS, GST, PF, and ESI.
- Manage fund flow and prepare gross profit sheets.
- Monitor the status of bills under review or dispute pending beyond the stipulated timeline.
- Ensure compliance with all accounting and reporting requirements prescribed by relevant regulatory bodies.
- Plan and execute financial duties and projects for the company.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts to ensure financial stability. Draft budgets, income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and reports required by regulatory authorities.
- Develop and implement financial strategies and policies.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals.
- Identify and manage financial risks.
- Present financial results and strategies to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or Inter CA.
- Minimum of 15 to 20 years of experience in finance and accounting roles.
- Proven experience in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
