Job Title: General Manager - Operations (GM)
Location: Ghaziabad
Job Description:
The General Manager - Operations (GM) is responsible for developing strategies, managing budgets, and overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency and profitability. This role involves strategic planning, staff management, and fostering positive relationships within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop long-term goals, conduct market research, and identify growth opportunities.
- Budgeting: Create and manage budgets, allocate resources effectively.
- Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with regulations, and foster positive relationships.
- Staff Management: Hire, supervise, and train staff; work with HR to support staff development.
- Communication: Communicate business goals and present analysis to stakeholders.
- Policy Creation: Develop policies and procedures to maximize efficiency.
- Efficiency Improvement: Enhance efficiency and increase profits while managing overall operations.
- Strategic Implementation: Design and implement a strategic plan for the APAC region, including manufacturing footprint optimization, organizational design, and business development.
- Collaboration: Work with engineers, sales, commercial operations, and other departments to develop quotations, troubleshoot challenges, and work with customers.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and guide the team.
- New Product Development: Oversee new product development, vendor management, procurement, quality controls, and audits.
- Outsourcing and Negotiation: Manage outsourcing, negotiation, cost calculation, welding, CNC, and production processes.
Skills Required:
- Organizational Skills: Create effective systems to manage responsibilities.
- Multitasking Abilities: Handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Business Functions Knowledge: Understand HR, finance, and marketing functions.
- Data Analysis: Use data analysis to inform decision-making.
- Budgeting and Business Development: Expertise in budgeting and business development.
- Financial Products and Markets: Knowledge of a range of financial products and markets.
- Sales and Strategic Planning: Proficiency in sales and strategic planning.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills.
- Decision-Making and Teamwork: Effective decision-maker and team player.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a general manager or in a similar executive role.
- Experience in team handling, planning, and budgeting.
- Competency in strategic planning and business development.
- Minimum of 20 to 25 years of experience.
Education:
- Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering (Mechanical), Management, MBA, Economics, Accounting, or a related technical field.
- Experience in manufacturing, machining, preferably related to the oil & gas industry, upstream, downhole, cementing, completion, onshore sectors.
