Coatings Construction Coordinator

Here is an exciting opportunity to join a mega project in Kitimat, British Columbia as a Coatings Construction Coordinator! In this role, you will act as the focal point for technical interfaces in the construction team. You will coordinate with other groups in the technical services area and quality department to ensure that construction requirements are being met.


Key Job Duties:

• Responsible for the activities of monitoring, inspection, documenting, testing, and acceptance of completed work as outlined in the Quality Responsibility Matrix. 
• Perform quality inspections for the assigned discipline and sign-off on quality records.
• Coordinate and monitor the activities of assigned contractors performing work within the Construction disciplines and ensure compliance with project safety, quality, schedule, cost, and security requirements.
• Evaluate change requests and interface with contract administrators for the initiation and development of contract modifications.

Key Requirements:

• Engineering degree/ Diploma Coating, Specialist, or equivalent technical project experience. 5-10 years of experience in Construction Supervision.
• 10+ years of progressive Construction experience
• Experience working with Thermal Spray Aluminum (TSA)
• NACE Level 1 Inspector certification minimum Level 2 preferred
• Strong interpersonal, listening and communications skills, capacity to build trust among internal and external stakeholders.
