We currently seek a high caliber Control Room Supervisor for a long-term basis within our client’s team of experienced professionals. Based in Philadelphia, PA.
Job Requirements:
- Manage the team responsible for real-time operations battery portfolio, including dispatching generation based upon economic conditions and operational constraints.
- Manage a team of Battery Storage operators who work a rotating 24 hour shift schedule
- Take or direct timely and appropriate real-time actions in accordance with ISO procedures.
- Coordinate unit availability, outage schedules, unit startup and shutdown, and communicate all necessary information to plant personnel, ISOs, and asset management.
- Have the responsibility and authority to implement real-time actions to ensure the stable and reliable operation of the Bulk Electric System.
- Communicate with Scheduling Coordinators, Transmission Operators and ISO’s on continual basis, taking necessary actions and providing ancillary services to ensure system reliability.
- Must comply with applicable NERC Reliability Standards and regional ISO rules and tariffs.
- Monitor and analyze available market information to identify dispatching and market opportunities
- Manage the operation of the battery storage assets with a continuous focus on balancing operation vs health of the equipment.
- Maintain the reliability by conducting systems checks and fixing errors
- Ensure that the documentation for processes you are responsible for is current and complete.
- Actively contribute to conversations about process improvements, tool enhancements, and general team operation
- Employee development and mentoring including critical training and certification requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous Energy industry experience dealing with ISO markets
- Prior experience working in one or more of the following markets: CAISO, ERCOT, MISO, PJM, NYISO, IESO, ISONE
- NERC or PJM certification is a plus (candidate must complete certification within 6 months of hire)
- Previous experience managing employees
