We are urgently seeking a DCS SPECIALIST who is immediately available to join our international client’s project team to manage controls operation and maintenance access levels to the intelligent control system for a two (2) weeks contract duration. This role will be based in EQUATORIAL GUINEA.
Job Summary
Manage preventive maintenance on intelligent control systems. Controls operation and maintenance access levels to intelligent control system. Troubleshoot breakdowns, diagnoses faults and executes repairs. Maintains good housekeeping at work site and ensures that tools and equipment are kept in good working order.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, troubleshoot and maintain system equipment to ensure it is operating within design conditions, and at optimum performance.
- Use Diagnostic functions of the systems to identify detailed system information that can be used for troubleshooting purposes.
- Ensure all other system device configurations are current and backed up.
- Manage and maintain all system software to ensure that each is fully operable and holds the latest configuration.
- The Safety, Administrative and Technical requirements associated with this position are documented in the MEGI Operations approved training matrices.
- Electronic process (PLC/DCS, SCADA) and safety shutdown control system.
- (ESSDS) – Allen Bradley, Fisher Delta V, Triconex, Wonderware, and etc.
- Fire and Gas Detection safety panels.
- Power generation and compression turbine controls (Solar and General Electric)
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
- Completion of secondary education (12 years) plus 2 years formal instrumentation / electrical or equivalent.
- 10 years’ experience in instrument / electrical maintenance in oil industry or similar.
- 5 years field experience in maintenance of the following systems and configuration of industrial DCS, SCADA and PLC systems. (Ideally Allen Bradley PLC5, Fisher Delta V, Triconex TMR, Wonderware and Intellution).
- Physically fit to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team. Participates in drills, lifesaving and firefighting exercises.
- Have an excellent understanding of electronic / pneumatic controls and support equipment requirements associated with a production and processing facility / plant e.g.: wellheads, gas / liquid processing, hydraulic power units (HPU) and pipelines facilities electronic process (PLC/DCS, SCADA) and safety shutdown control system.
- Pneumatic and Hydraulic wellhead control panels.
- Excellent understanding of gas / liquid measurement and analytical measurement devices.
- Knowledge of safety management tools and processes. (Step Back 5x5, JSA, Risk Assessment).
- Provides onsite mentoring and tutoring for the National Technicians. They are responsible to ensure their success in accomplishing the completion of the tasks required by the program within the time frame allotted.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
