Location: Atlanta, GA
Industry: Power Generation and Engineering
Status of Hire: direct placement
Pay: $170,000 + bonus
Summary: This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing all activities, projects, and personnel within the Electrical Engineering disciplines for a power plant design. Understanding and implementing modularization techniques is a critical aspect of this role as is designing with the goal of mass manufacturing of power stations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Oversee the electrical engineering functions for the design, budget and estimation for large scale industrial projects.
• Lead efforts performed by group members to ensure successful completion of electrical engineering project deliverables to meet all technical, quality, financial and project controls expectation.
• Originate and manage client relationships, developing key relationships with decision makers and point of contacts within utilities, developers and EPCs.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and structural engineers throughout the development of industrial projects.
• Provide project construction support through RFIs and submittal review, contractor and owner request management, QA/QC of design work and more.
• Oversee and manage electrical engineers through performance of electrical calculations, load flow, voltage drop and more.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program
• PE registration strongly preferred
• 10+ years of experience in the design of electrical engineering systems for power plants
• Experience in the selection of equipment, materials, and the preparation and assembling of engineering design change packages, calculations, and specifications
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey information to project team members and client
