Location: Grovetown, GA
Industry: manufacturing
Status of Hire: full-time, direct hire, salaried plus bonus
Compensation: $150-175k plus eligible for up to 20% annual performance-based bonus
Reports to: Technical Plant Director
Responsibility Overview:
As a strategic leader, the Director of Maintenance is tasked with setting and achieving strategic goals for their department in a robust, industrial manufacturing plant. This person directs and oversees the entire Maintenance department and provides strategic vision and direction as the plant grows.
Your Tasks
Maintains costs within the budget and quickly communicates issues that might result in a need for additional funding
Development and implementation of proactive and preventative maintenance strategies and maintenance programs
Works with local HR to hire, onboard, monitor and evaluate the performance of departmental staff
Provides leadership and guidance to all maintenance personnel
Defines tasks, responsibilities, and KPIs for each position within maintenance and with production and assure the Maintenance team leaders and the Maintenance process manager are relaying and supporting accurate information along with holding employees responsible
Ensures the consistent development of occupational safety awareness in the maintenance organization
Identify maintenance process or equipment improvements to increase production volume and/or to improve safety, availability, quality and/or emissions
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Must have a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or comparable
7-10+ years of work experience with related responsibilities as a Maintenance/Technical Services Director in an industrial manufacturing plant environment
Demonstrated ability to train, develop, and lead a technical team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be conversant in EPA/EPD and OSHA regulations
Will be required to become an OSHA Train-the-Trainer level expert
**Must be authorized to work in the US regardless of visa transfer or sponsorship
**Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and background check to be eligible for hire
