Electrical Engineering Lead

TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Electrical Engineering Lead role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.

Responsibilities:
 

• Witness and validate factory acceptance tests.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Develop and evaluate project estimates for labor and materials.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and technical assurance.
• Review and resolve issues related to vendor drawings and equipment.
• Conduct and verify calculations for electrical distribution systems.
• Provide technical support during construction phases.
• Create and review specifications for electrical equipment.
• Manage project schedules, estimates, and manpower forecasts.
• Lead electrical engineering efforts for major EPCM projects.
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:
 

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in engineering, with a focus on large-scale projects.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng) registration in Canada.
• Proven ability to manage and lead large projects, including scheduling, progress reporting, and project close-out.
• Familiarity with power systems up to 230 kV and electrical analysis software such as ETAP.
• Practical field experience and ability to provide technical support during construction phases.
• Strong knowledge of local, provincial, and national electrical codes and standards.
• Supervisory experience and strong leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical solutions to various stakeholders.
• Experience in the mining or mineral processing industry, including Solvent Extraction (SX) and Electrowinning (EW).
